Survey: Brits Prefer Tidy Homes to Sex
WATFORD, England – According to a recent survey of UK residents, twice as many Britons would rather have a clean house than engage in dirty sex.
The survey of 3,500 people, conducted on behalf of appliance maker Beko, discovered that 36 percent of respondents placed a tidy home above sex on their list of daily priorities; 34 percent placed a clean house above going on holiday. Only 18 percent of respondents would choose sex over spic-and-span living quarters; 11 percent said they would rather have a wild night on the town.
Why the passion for tidy homes? It has to do with disliking mess, according to an analysis in the UK’s Telegraph.
“Researchers found that mess was rated as more irritating than being stuck in a traffic jam, having to listen to telephone hold music or even dealing with parking wardens,” the newspaper’s report explained.
The survey also discovered that women in the UK spend six hours more than their male mates on housework each week. One quarter of the women surveyed revealed their male counterparts did no work around the house whatsoever. In fact, 38 percent of the men who responded to the survey indicated they believe housework is the exclusive responsibility of women, whether or not the women work outside the home.
With an attitude like that, if the bums get any sex at all, they’re lucky.
Perhaps if British men did more housework, they’d find their women with energy to spare for sex. Just sayin’.
