BUCHAREST, Romania – On Jan. 1, 2013, a 10-room cam studio employing only 12 models opened in the Gara de Nord area of Bucharest. Today that small operation, Studio 20, operates a seven-studio franchise system employing hundreds of models who appear on some of the world’s largest live-cam websites.

According to Chief Executive Officer Mugur Cosmin Frunzetti, one of the primary reasons for Studio 20’s remarkable success is the way the founders treat the business and the models like cherished children, feeding them, nourishing them and believing in them.

By 2014, the company expanded to 12 rooms, then 14, sacrificing office space to provide studio space for more models.

“It was a time of hard work — growing models, but also creating all the structure that would later support our development,” Frunzetti said.

The company’s biggest growth came after the owners defined Studio 20 as a “glamour professional” cam studio. In February 2015, backed by extraordinary growth and a proven track record, the company began offering franchise opportunities to investors. The first — a 700-square-meter, 27-room, state-of-the-art facility employing 50 to 70 models — opened in Bucharest’s Victory Square.

“From that day on, Studio 20 grew bigger and bigger each month, and like any child that receives love, it gave back,” Frunzetti said, explaining the Studio 20 team became involved in charity work with orphans and hospitals. “We gave back to the community as best we knew how.”

In 2016, the company expanded even more, opening facilities in Cluj Napoca, Timisoara, Craiova and Bucharest Unirii, Romania, as well as Hollywood, California. Frunzetti believes the Bucharest Unirii studio, which covers more than 15,000 square feet, to be the largest in the world. Bucharest Men is the first studio devoted to male models.

The company also won a number of awards during 2016, including GFY’s Best Cam Studio of the Year, AW Summit’s Best Cam Studio, LALexpo’s Cam Studio of the Year, the YNOT Awards’ Best Cam Studio. Studio 20 models also were recognized with awards: Raquelle Diva and Sassha Red both were declared Best Cam Model at the YNOT Awards. Devious Angel was named the AVN Awards’ Favorite Cam Girl.
