HONG KONG – An American manufacturer received the trophy for Pleasure Product Company of the Year during the inaugural Asia Adult Expo Awards.

CalExotics, based in Los Angeles, was unable to send a team to the show this year, but the company provided a video of an acceptance speech during which founder Susan Colvin thanked AAE for the honor.

“We work very hard to bring the best products to our customers, and this award proves we are doing something right,” she said. “I am sorry I could not be at the awards today, but I am there in spirit.”

The Asia Adult Expo Awards honor companies, products, packaging and technology within the adult industry. The ceremony took place Aug. 27 as part of the only business-to-business platform in the Asia-Pacific region. The trade show focuses on networking, trading and cultivating international partnerships in market sectors including adult novelties, lingerie, health supplements, games and trade services.

“What an incredible feeling it is to be the first recipient of an AAE Award,” Colvin said. “We are thrilled to have won and thank everyone involved for this incredible honor.”
