YNOT EUROPE – London-based adult studio Bluebird Films quietly made history during the AVN Awards when director and founder Paul Chaplin claimed the trophy for Best Director – Foreign Feature for the second consecutive year.

In the midst of celebrating multiple accolades garnered by the Best Parody – Drama Batfxxx: Dark Night, Chaplin was thrilled to see his Department S, Mission One: City of Broken Angels honored in the Best Director – Foreign Feature category. When the studio’s Alice: A Fairy Love Tale claimed the award for Best Foreign Feature, Chaplin’s buttons nearly burst with pride.

“This is an extraordinary honor,” he said. “And the distinction of the successive wins keeps true to our motto: ‘If You’ve Seen It Before – You’re Not Watching Bluebird.’ Once again, we’re proving to be a leader in this industry, not just in America but on a global level.”

Reaping a total of eight AVN Awards in 2011 pleased but didn’t surprise Chaplin.
