YNOT EUROPE – An adult tube site based in Altea, Spain, has added a thumbnail-selection tool to its upload mechanism, allowing publishers to influence viewers’ first impressions of their videos.

“Due to popular demand for this tool, we made it a priority to add this feature to our publishing program,” said Lizz, manager for PornTube.com’s Content Publishing Program.

According to Lizz, a one-click process now enables content owners to select a customized thumbnail for each video they upload. During video encoding, the system automatically generates a “default thumbnail.” To change the default image, all a publisher must do is click on “select another thumbnail” and choose an alternative image.

Publishers also may use the utility to change thumbnails on their previously listed videos, as well.

“We are constantly building new tools to improve our platform and offer a better user experience for our publishers,” Lizz said.

She added that the number of participants in the site’s Content Publishing Program has tripled since the program launched in January.
