New European Services Attract Big Business

COMPTON, Winchester, UK – When Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based SegPay received Authorized Payment Institution certification from the UK’s Financial Services Authority in March, the company hoped the newly elevated status of its European operating division would attract new clients among the adult online industry’s biggest players.

That hope has been validated. On Thursday, SegPay revealed PimpRoll, a 12-year-old network of adult websites including Porn.com, signed on, in part, because of SegPay’s financial relationships in the European Union.

Since 2005, SegPay has offered webmasters a billing platform that provides real-time credit card, direct-debit and check authorization services; automated password management systems, marketing tools, real-time sales reporting, and an easy-to-use online account interface. The company’s recent expansion of services made it the only internet payment services provider in the EU to convert payouts directly through acquiring banks instead of third parties, Chief Executive Officer Cathy Beardsley said.

“Our goal at SegPay is to bring value to our partners,” she said. “We have been able to grow our client roster over the past couple of years by being innovative and industry leading.”

PimpRoll, too, has grown quite a bit during the past year, adding new products like TrafficForce, HostedTube and PaidPerView, all of which were developed in-house, according to the company’s vice president, Phil Bradbury. Simultaneously, PimpRoll acquired recognized brands in other markets, including the popular BeSocial.com dating network.

“Beyond the additional exposure SegPay brings us at home and abroad, their service is exceptional,” Bradbury said. “On the back end, SegPay has done a lot to ensure that the user experience is excellent, and we look forward to a long, mutually rewarding business relationship.”
