YNOT EUROPE – British adult performer Katie K will make her mainstream cinema debut among an A-list cast including Steve Coogan, Anna Friel, Stephen Fry and Imogen Poots in The King of Soho. Expected to release in 2013, the movie is a biopic of Paul Raymond, the man who opened the first British strip club and then later made millions investing in porn publications and real estate.

As Haley, Katie K will bring real-life experience to the role of a dancer who ends up in bed with the porn baron and his wife.

“The experience of shooting the movie was just incredible,” she said. “The crew treated me as if I was a Hollywood star and wanted to make sure I felt comfortable and happy at all times. The other actors were fantastic and so talented. It was all very surreal performing with celebrities I’ve seen on TV and in movies.”

Comedic actor Coogan stars in the title role, and true to form, the British tabloid press have enjoyed stirring the gossip mill. Publications including The Weekend Sport and Zoo Magazine have featured images of Katie K and Coogan on-set, thrusting her into the limelight. She said that’s all part of the game.

“Mainstream acting is something I’ve wanted to do since I was five,” she said. “I’ve been professionally trained in acting and performing arts pretty much my whole life. I am absolutely speechless that my dream has come true, and I’ve acted in a mainstream movie. I hope to do more in the very near future.”

For the foreseeable future, though, her career in adult remains her top priority, she noted.
