YNOT EUROPE – A sexy selection of 200 celebrities, models and adult industry luminaries descended upon trendy club For Your Eyes Only 9 March as adult broadcaster Television X feted the second annual SHAFTA Awards winners. The Soft and Hard Adult Film and Television Awards acknowledge the best in programming and talent within the British adult entertainment industry.

Dane Bowers, Tim Westwood and Bez joined a bevy of beautiful babes including SHAFTA host Linsey Dawn McKenzie, international stunner Aletta Ocean and glamour girls Verena Twigg, Gemma Massey and Krystal Webb.

Big wins of the night went to Angel Long and her production company Pure XXX who took home Best Anal Scene, Best Spoof Series and Best Director. Both Tanya Tate and Syren Sexton won their categories for the second year in a row, with Sexton taking Female Performer of the Year and Tate receiving MILF of the Year.

French fancy Angel Summers took Foreign Performer of the Year and was obviously overwhelmed as she burst into tears when she accepted the award, screaming “Vive le France!” But the big news came when newbie Megan Coxxx won the hotly contested Best New Starlet award, beating stiff competition from Lexi Ward, Stacey Lacey, Hannah Shaw and Carmen Jay. Coxxx, who broke into the business starring in Billi Bhatti’s series What Billi Did Next thanked Television X and the fans for their votes.

Once the ceremony was over, revelling continued while Westwood played dance classics well into the early hours of the next morning. As guests left, they were given a goody bag containing condoms bearing the slogan “wrap it up before you slap it up,” a Television X DVD and a golden vibrator to match the golden SHAFTA statuette.

With 13 golden cocks now adorning mantelpieces throughout the land, Television X returned viewers to its regularly scheduled broadcasts on Sky 903, Virgin 490, BT vision and online.
