IBIZA, Spain – Spanish firemen frequently are called upon to rescue folks from life-threatening emergencies. In early July, they performed a rescue of an entirely different sort.

The victim, an unnamed 51 year-old German tourist, required extraction from a steel sex toy. According to a report in Digital Journal, the man’s penis became trapped in a metal ring. Firemen spent two hours cutting through the device.

Those with sex toy experience realize unintended consequences can happen. However, the German tourist’s story was a bit more extreme.

“The delicate operation was undertaken in the casualty ward of the hospital in Ibiza, with firemen using buzz-saws to free the tourist from the steel sex toy, into which the man had placed his penis and testicles,” Digital Journal noted.

Apparently the unnamed brand of steel sex toy was built with quality in mind: Measuring 15cm in diameter, it “consisted of some kind of ‘armor-plating’ … The firemen reportedly needed two changes of battery, along with a second rotating blade for their buzz-saw in order to complete the operation.”

The delicate procedure took two hours because the victim’s genitals became more swollen and engorged as time went by, tightening the sex toy’s grip. According to Digital Journal, the victim complained of discomfort even after the administration of a local anesthetic.

All ended well, fortunately. After an overnight hospital stay for observation, the man was discharged the next morning — penis, if not pride, intact.
