British Company Steps into Dating Breach
YNOT EUROPE – A day after FriendFinder Network announced the planned closure of 5,000 co-branded dating websites, UK-based Adult.WhiteLabel.Dating.com offered 100-percent revenue shares to affected webmasters who switch to the company’s platform.
During a quarterly financial teleconference on Tuesday, publicly traded FriendFinder Networks announced it has begun withdrawing from the white-label dating business because maintaining sites the company does not own is “too cumbersome and cost prohibitive.” The company will shift from an affiliate-driven model to one that focuses on FriendFinder’s own brands. About 28,000 FriendFinder-owned websites exist.
“We find an ordinate amount of time and money is spent on dealing with high chargeback levels [at co-branded sites], and we end up paying fines,” Chief Executive Officer Anthony Previte said. “We don’t own these brands, so we are basically competing against ourselves. There are too many shades of gray, and it puts too much burden on the company.”
An Adult.WhiteLabelDating.com spokesman said the British company feels differently about partner websites.
“We look forward to welcoming new partners, big and small, to our network, and our team are ready to answer any questions you may have,” said Steve Pammenter, chief operating officer for AdultWLD. “With the shutting down of co-branded sites on the FriendFinder Network, we would like to offer a strong opportunity to dating site owners who may now be at a crossroad with their future plans.
“From having first-class customer care, fighting scammers and looking after members through to cutting-edge tech development with all departments based in-house, we are proud to [have won] numerous awards and high-end contracts with some of the biggest names in the business,” he added.
Launched in 2003, Adult.WhiteLabelDating.com offers a platform for brands and individuals to power their own dating sites across all English speaking countries. The company provides an out-of-the-box, fully hosted and supported dating solution consisting of award-winning dating platform software, a pre-populated member-database, a “site niching facility” that allowing partners to tap into specific interests, a mobile platform, payment processing, a customer relationship management program, customer care and dedicated partner managers. Pammenter said the company requires no set-up fees and handles most of the details of site management, allowing partners to focus on driving traffic to their sites.
Webmasters interested in accepting the company’s offer may email Chris Georghiou or call +44(0)1753 757558 and mention their previous association with FriendFinderNetworks.
