Brit Tanya Tate Twines Twitter, YouTube into Promotion
YNOT EUROPE – British adult entertainer Tanya Tate is getting interactive with fans by offering to answer their burning questions about her life and career as part of a new social media marketing campaign.
Tate’s “Ask Tanya Tate via Twitter” promotion solicits fans’ questions, and then provides Tate’s answer in a YouTube video. Tate’s list of Twitter followers numbers more than 150,000.
“Interacting with fans is a priority to me, so I am very receptive to trying new things that will improve that,” she explained. “I want my fan interactions to always be a fun, sexy experience. These videos are that.”
The Liverpool native is nothing if not inventive. She recently offered a gift to fans who checked in with her via geolocation social network Foursquare while she signed autographs on the show floor during AVN’s Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas. She also emblazons Quick Response codes on her promotional items, allowing fans to discover more information online simply by scanning the codes with a mobile device.
“Tanya embraces the new ideals of social and viral marketing,” said her public relations representative, Alexander Raymond. “If we find something or can think of something new and exciting to apply to her brand, she’s willing to try it out. It’s very exciting. We are looking to build her brand and network of sites, and utilizing social marketing in this manner will bring it.”
