YNOT EUROPE – Mobile payment and messaging provider DIMOCO Europe GmbH has expanded its operator payment service to a total of 29 countries, encompassing 800 million mobile subscribers on 104 networks. Sixteen different currencies are represented.

“We have set ourselves the target to continuously increase the number of our mobile operator payment countries,” said Chief Executive Officer Gerald Tauchner. “With 29 markets to date, we provide our business customers with an excellent basis for enlarging their content business.

“Other markets are already in the pipeline and will be connected soon,” he added.

Countries already under the DIMOCO umbrella include Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Macedonia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Hungary.

According to Tauchner, the expansion helped the Austria-based company to increase its 2012 sales by 65 percent over 2011’s levels.

“The figures clearly prove that there is a great demand for fast and easy payment possibilities, and we are expanding those possibilities constantly,” he said.

Founded in 2000, DIMOCO processes mobile payment transactions for social networks and online media, games and dating through branded services including pay:smart, pay:flexible and pay: periodic. The company maintains an in-house legal department to manage regulatory compliance in each market and a technology division to operate proprietary infrastructure.
