YNOT EUROPE – Barcelona-Based adult media conglomerate Private Media Group has launched a new mobile platform the company calls “groundbreaking.” The first property to sport the new technology is Maleflixxx, an online gay video-on-demand network owned and operated by Private’s Sureflix Digital Distribution division.

Maleflixxx Mobile allows consumers to view content on the Maleflixxx platform using Android handsets, iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad. Accessible via Maleflixxx.tv and Private’s Man-Size.tv, the platform automatically detects which device is being used and delivers the appropriate interface. In the coming weeks, the company expects to roll out the platform to all sites in the Maleflixxx white-label network.

Using the new system, surfers can transition back and forth between Maleflixxx Mobile and the Maleflixxx Network of Sites seamlessly while keeping track of viewing credits, rentals and bookmarks across both realms. Consumers can access 44,000 scenes from more than 200 studios with video quality equal to a high-speed internet connection. The platform’s easy-to-navigate user interface allows surfers to browse content by category, theme and studio in seven languages.

“When developing the mobile product, we wanted to give our users the ability to take Maleflixxx on the road with them,” said Sureflix Chief Technology Officer Erik Schannen. “Keeping all of the features and content that they have come to love, we adapted [everything] to the mobile screen. Now Maleflixxx users can easily access their account, balance, bookmarks and rentals on their mobile devices wherever there is a connection.”

Maleflixxx Affiliates will offer white-label mobile versions to major partners in the coming weeks.
