LELO SenseMotion Tiani Wins 2012 Red Dot Design Award
YNOT EUROPE – The SenseMotion Tiani, a personal pleasure product designed for couples by Stockholm-based LELO, has been named a Red Dot Award: Product Design 2012 winner. The awards, presented by Germany’s prestigious Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, rewards design and conceptual excellence based on criteria including innovation, functionality, ergonomics, ecology and durability. A jury of international experts presents each winning design with an internationally recognized emblem of achievement and a cash honorarium.
The 2012 competition saw 4,515 products from 1,800 companies in 58 countries. Winners will be exhibited at the Red Dot Design Museum in Germany beginning July 2. The four-week physical exhibition, “Design on stage – winners red dot award: product design 2012” will continue for a year online exhibition at Red-Dot.de.
The Tiani massager blends aesthetics with function, allowing women to wear the device during intercourse or enjoy an intimate hands-free experience. SenseMotion technology, coupled with a wireless remote, enables users to control the device with a simple flick of the wrist, adjusting vibration patterns with minimal movement.
