2000Charge Adds Teleingreso for Spanish Consumers
YNOT EUROPE – Alternative payment processor 2000Charge has added Spanish billing mechanism Teleingreso to the payment options it offers clients.
Teleingreso allows consumers to make deposits online without using a credit card or bank account. When a consumer chooses Teleingreso as his payment method, he is redirected to a page that allows him to establish a pending transaction with the merchant. The consumer then takes the nine-digit code issued by the server to a local Teleingreso point of sale, deposits the cash required and receives a receipt with a second code that allows him to access the protected website content in which he is interested.
Spanish consumers are well acquainted with the process, according to 2000Charge Chief Executive Officer Wolf Kring. More than 3,000 ATM machines, 2,000 post offices and 300 retail shops in Spain make up the Teleingreso network.
“In an increasingly competitive global online market, the more options merchants give potential customers, the better,” Kring said. “By adding Teleingreso, they have a better chance of converting Spanish surfers into paying customers.”
