VOO to Distribute 3D Mansion Content
YNOT EUROPE – Paris-based content producer 3D Mansion has signed a deal with Belgian cable operator VOO that will make 3D Mansion’s catalog of high-definition stereoscopic 20-minutes videos available on VOO’s cable network.
“This contract is an important new step for 3D Mansion, as it is a significant new success in the Benelux area,” said Vice President of Sales Tom Duncan.
Duncan said his company is experiencing increasing demand from premium cable operators. The cable companies, he indicated, see 3D content as a way to differentiate themselves in crowded markets that must compete with an ever-expanding range of entertainment options.
Gilles Reunis, content acquisitions manager at VOO, confirmed the notion.
“3D broadcasting is part of our strategy to develop new media solutions and bring innovative content to our audience,” he said. “We have selected 3D Mansion because their short-form contents are very suitable for the launch of 3D TVs.”
3D Mansion‘s material is expected to be available on VOO’s platform beginning Oct. 1.
