Strictly Broadband Rebrands VOD Site for Dot-xxx
YNOT EUROPE – London-based Strictly Broadband Ltd. has rebranded one of its flagship websites for the new dot-xxx adults-only domain space. Concurrently, the company launched a new affiliate program to support the site.
The video-on-demand site formerly known as StrictlyAnywhere.com is now Anywhere.xxx. StrictlyAnywhere.com redirects to the dot-xxx domain, which is billed as a “cloud porn” service. According to its developers, the new site allows consumers to rent and watch thousands of full-length, full-screen adult movies on any device. The material may be rented on one device and viewed on another.
“This allows the first genuine ‘cloud’ approach to adult video, giving users the tools to build their own cloud-based collection and access it from any device, any time,” a spokesperson said.
Supported devices include legacy desktop and laptop platforms along with iPhones, iPads, Android phones and tablets, and more. Movies may be streamed direct to TV using an iPhone AV dock or by other methods.
The new affiliate program includes tools like simple links and banners, embeddable trailers, customizable RSS feeds and a twice-weekly consumer newsletter bearing affiliate codes. Affiliates earn 30 percent of all sales, new and repeat.
“We launched Strictly Anywhere earlier this year as an upgrade to our original VOD site, StrictlyBroadband.com, which has been live for over six years,” said Managing Director Jerry Barnett, a member of the policy council overseeing the International Foundation for Online Responsibility, which sets policy for dot-xxx domains. “Launching the new site was a chance to start afresh with higher-quality encoding and better interfaces for new tablet and smart-phone devices.
“The site has been a great success, with conversion levels we haven’t seen in this business for some time,” he continued. “[It brings] new strength to a business which, like the rest of the industry, has been struggling to compete with free sites over the past few years,” he continued. “The launch of the dot-xxx [Top Level Domain] has given us the opportunity to re-launch the service under a new and better name, Anywhere.XXX, which describes the service perfectly.”
