YNOT EUROPE – Nominees for the inaugural YNOT Awards, selected by a jury of distinguished industry members, have been unveiled. Voting began Thursday afternoon at the awards’ official website, YNOTawards.com.

“We want to offer a big ‘Congratulations!’ to the companies and individuals that were chosen as official nominees for a 2011 YNOT Award,” said Connor Young, president of parent company YNOT Group LLC. “Turning the nomination process over to a panel of jurors worked out very well. A lot of the companies chosen will come as no surprise to anyone, but mixed in with the obvious nominees were a few unorthodox choices.

“We’d also like to thank our fantastic panel industry volunteers, who did a topnotch job both in selecting the award categories for this year’s event and in choosing the nominees,” he added.

Anyone who participates in the adult entertainment industry may register and vote at YNOTawards.com. Each individual may vote once per category, and the winner in each category will be the company or individual who accrues the most votes. Votes must be cast before 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18. Winners will be announced during the YNOT Awards celebration Sept. 21 at the SaSaZu entertainment venue in Prague.

“Remember: There is no rule against campaigning for your favorite companies,” Young said. “It’s perfectly OK to lobby your friends and colleagues on behalf of a certain company, and the nominees themselves are encouraged to promote their candidacy to their peers. We want the winners to reflect the will of the people in the trenches. This is an opportunity for the industry to recognize and reward excellence within its own ranks.”
