YNOT EUROPE – A large international survey conducted on behalf of auFeminin.com lifts the veil on the sexual behavior of European women.

Nearly 13,000 female internet users in France, Italy, Germany, Spain, the UK and Poland responded to questions proposed by the site. The survey asked about sexuality, fantasies, sex toys, contraception, sexual relationships, marriage problems, etc. The results: Female sexuality is alive and well.

For 93 percent of respondents, sexual practices are natural and pleasurable. Seven out of 10 women reported reaching orgasm during sex with a partner, although 43 percent of women admitted to having sex too infrequently. A wish for fulfillment of sexual fantasies was reported by 73 percent of respondents.

When it comes to sex toys, 66 percent of French women are keen to use them, but only 17 percent of Italians admitted a fondness for accoutrements.

Most women said sex is better when both partners are satified. A majority (59 percent) said open sexual dialogue among couples is essential to satisfaction and to overcoming problems in relationships.

In Germany, 57 percent of women reported their frequency of intercourse is too low, and 79 percent said they always or very often enjoy when they make love. The majority reported never experiencing an incidence of infidelity in their relationships.

Among British women, 46 percent indicated they are in tune with their partners when it comes to frequency and style of intimate relations.

Fifty percent of Spanish women are satisfied with the frequency of their lovemaking.

More than other European women, the French reported not having enough time for sex. Forty-five percent of women in France said daily professional obligations leave them too exhausted to seek intimate pleasure, compared to 30 percent of women in other European nations. Evidently, the perennial “Baby, I’m tired and I have a headache” is more than a joke.
