YNOT EUROPE – European business-to-business trade shows World Telemedia and World Intertainment have partnered to present a combined forum for digital entertainment and interactive services 12-14 October at the Renaissance Hotel in Amsterdam.

According to Alex Ruff, founder of Hannover, Germany-based WI, and Jarvis Todd, owner of London-based WTM, digital media and marketing revenues have started to show encouraging signs of growth over the past few years as more consumers use mobile communication, computing and gaming devices to interact with TV, print and other media content. These high-tech, high-value consumers no longer recognize boundaries between online and mobile spaces and expect a genuine premium from the content and services they wish to consume, especially if they’re expected to pay or give up valuable consumer data.

Todd and Ruff plan to co-produce an event that reflects and tackles the demands of the exciting new marketplace. Each event brand will retain its key themes, but delegates will be able to move freely between seminar sessions and enjoy the benefits of combined sessions that specifically acknowledge the synergies between mobile and web, premium content types and opportunities.

“The time has come to put on an event that can deliver on its promises and bring international businesses face to face to cover all the key aspects needed to develop new business in this exciting sector,” said Ruff.

He added that attendees can expect to meet media and marketing companies, content owners, service providers, carriers and network operators, billing and collection specialists, technology providers, broadcasters, app developers, aggregators, resellers, data owners, webmasters, agencies and support services all brought together in a single exhibition and trading area.

The heart of the event will be located in the iconic Koepelkerk, built in 1668 and once an inspiration for Vincent van Gogh. The facility recently was refurbished into a state-of-the-art convention centre.

“We’re certainly looking forward to taking WTM back to its ‘spiritual home,’ and with Alex and his excellent team on board, delegates should come prepared to celebrate the wealth of new opportunities this exciting initiative is set to deliver,” Todd said. “It’s a very positive step for us to be working with a new partner, and we’re looking forward to sharing ideas and to bringing our respective business networks together.

“I believe it’s an exciting proposition for the industry as a whole, because this partnership will create a wider European appeal and deliver a level of online expertise to reflect the strategic needs of our clients,” he added.
