móBilling Expands Micropayment Market
YNOT EUROPE – The market for micropayment services is changing. More than ever before, offers previously available only in the physical world are migrating online and to mobile devices. Even more important, consumers are beginning to demonstrate a preference for electronic payment methods over more traditional ways to purchase some things, particularly entertainment. Shopping via cell phone for things like films and music is spreading amongst customers due to convenience and the urge for immediate gratification.
Germany’s Corazón Communication Business Group and multiConnect GmbH have partnered to take advantage of shifting consumer habits, expanding the mobile payment solutions available to clients of both companies. móBilling is the result.
According to the product’s webpage, móBilling easily can be integrated with any website. Transactions are billed via all cellular networks without for both one-time payments and subscriptions.
How does móBilling work? Say a user wants to download a music clip. He enters his cell phone number on the vendor’s website, where the purchase is confirmed. In return, he receives a transaction number, called a TAN, via text message. He then enters the TAN on the website, and downloads the desired product. The entire process takes seconds.
