Miss Dirty Martini, Greg and the Burlesque of ‘La Dolce Diva’
YNOT EUROPE – Miss Dirty Martini, international queen of burlesque, and Greg are appearing at the Teatro Olimpico in Rome with the theater piece La Dolce Diva from Nov. 29 to Dec. 5. This is a show not to be missed. For the first time burlesque, along with one of its greatest practitioners, landed in a large Italian theater.
A sensuous and ironic comedy set in the 1960s in those places where fun and hot stripping created a scandal. Italy during that time was bigoted and rigid, so sex was synonymous with scandal.
Irony, the passion of men, and women dressed only in feathers … these are the magical ingredients of a show that sees three gorgeous performers on the stage of burlesque: the curved and sensational Miss Dirty Martini from New York engages in original numbers created for the show; Luna Rosa, a London artist with a colorful routine, and Lydia Jordan, a young and talented Italian actress.
Written by Greg in collaboration with Claudio Casella and directed by Matteo Tarasco with the Micca Club, Italy’s most famous burlesque, the show involves the audience in every performance. Each night, the audience becomes part of the unfolding story.
