YNOT EUROPE – French adult studio Marc Dorcel’s latest undertaking seems custom-made to benefit from the results of a recent mainstream study indicating women are consuming more adult content than ever before — and they’re not ashamed to admit it.

Dorcelle.com is a very feminine webzine catering to the tastes of women. The company describes the site as “porn for women, made by women,” and all of the content is vetted by Dorcel’s female staff members prior to publication. According to a spokesperson, one of the goals of the project is to “question all assumptions about women and pornography.”

Although adult websites devoted to women are nothing new, Dorcel undertook its own research before embarking on the creation of Dorcelle.com. A survey the company conducted earlier this year revealed 82 percent of female participants have watched an adult movie at least once; 50 percent of women watch porn while they’re alone, and 18 percent watch more than one movie a year.

“Yes, women want porn, real porn, and Dorcelle.com offers them a fancy and girlish way of watching very good XXX videos selected by a crew of trendy women,” the company noted in a statement distributed Tuesday.

The site includes news, interviews, sex advice, female-centric XXX videos and a hip, insightful blog.
