Bluebird Lands at Gamma
YNOT EUROPE – London-based adult studio Bluebird Films has inked an exclusive partnership deal with Montreal-based technology company Gamma Entertainment. Under the terms of the arrangement, Gamma’s award-winning FameDollars subsidiary will manage and market Bluebird’s web properties under the FameDollars affiliate program.
In addition, Gamma received a one-year exclusive license to manage Bluebird’s catalog of adult entertainment titles in both the broadcast and DVD realms.
Bluebird Films was founded in 2006 by financier Paul Chaplin, whose resume lists screenwriter, author, performer, legal scholar and entrepreneur among his accomplishments. talents including writer, author, legal scholar, and entrepreneur. The studio maintains one campus in Europe and another in North America. Together the properties encompass five sound stages using state-of-the art, high-definition equipment.
“In the next five years we see ourselves as a global leader in bringing the mainstream platforms together with the adult platforms,” Chaplin said. “Furthermore, we will be introducing our [Bluebird TV] format to North America.”
In 2008, Bluebird united with AVN-award winning producer-director Nicholas Steele to shoot movies year-round on both continents. He said the Bluebird-Gamma partnership wasn’t a rush job.
“[Bluebird and Gamma] first started talking together somewhere in the beginning of 2011 — Gamma being a leader in web-based platforms and Bluebird being a leader in making adult content,” Steele said. “It was a perfect partnership, and we are honored to be collaborating with Gamma to provide the consumer with high-quality and original content. We believe we are up to the challenge to deliver unique content that will make a difference.”
Bluebird’s film library boasts some of the most popular names in Europe, including Alyson Mckenzie, Amanda Rendall, Anna Lovato, Brooke Lee, Caprice Jane, Charlie Green and Charlie Monaco. The company’s online portfolio includes broadcast, IPTV, mobile, print, high-definition DVD and Blu-ray Disc, giving Bluebird broad reach in the adult entertainment market.
