2000Charge Embraces SEPA; Clients Embrace Higher Revenues
YNOT EUROPE – Alternative payment services provider 2000Charge has reported record transactions across payment gateways that use the company’s EuroDebit European bank debit solution. One reason for the upswing, according to a spokesperson, is the Single Euro Payments Area established by the European Union in 2008. EuroDebit was among the first online payment services to integrate the initiative.
SEPA created a pan-European zone in which all electronic payments made in euros are considered domestic. In effect, the initiative does away with borders between European countries, at least where online financial boundaries are concerned, obviating cross-border banking regulations and transaction fees.
“As a EuroDebit merchant, SEPA will increase your payment coverage from 100 million currently to over 500 million consumers,” said 2000Charge Chief Executive Officer Wolf Kring. “The new system allows us to process direct debits and recurring transactions in real-time directly from consumers’ bank accounts in 32 European countries. It is the perfect payment solution for European customers with no credit card or those who are reluctant to use them online for purchases.”
Merchants that add 2000Charge are automatically able to offer EuroDebit and a wide range of other billing solutions, thanks to the company’s geo-targeted one-click payment button, which automatically serves customers local bank payment methods with which they are familiar, together with a call to action and customer support in multiple languages.
EuroDebit easily integrates with existing billing platforms and, like all other 2000Charge services, includes access to secure admin pages with detailed reports. Other features include fraud scrubbing, age- and/or address-verification and recurring billing options.
Founded in 1999, 2000Charge operates in the European Union, Canada, Latin America, Asia Pacific and the U.S. For more information, visit 2000Charge.com.
